Ollie Johnston recounts his memory of Freddie Moore’s magic from the documentary “Frank and Ollie”. Ollie was an animator at Walt Disney Studios from 1935 to 1978, and became a directing animator beginning with Pinocchio. He contributed to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia and Bambi.

The Cat Came Back by Cordell Barker (1988)

Directed Cordell Barker and produced by fellow award-winning Winnipeg animator Richard Condie. Based on the children’s song “And the Cat Came Back”, it is about the increasingly desperate Mr. Johnson, an old man who attempts to rid himself of a small, yet extremely destructive, yellow cat. It won over 15 awards, including a Genie Award and an Academy Award nomination.
