Seedling by Lee Tao (2011)

Lee Tao graduated Sheridan College for Animation. This impressive video was animated traditionally and digitally in Photoshop and composited in Adobe AfterEffects. Lee spent around a month on preproduction and designs and around 4-5 months for production, from the start to the finish composite.

Paraphernalia by Sabrina Cotugno (2011)

Sabrina Cotugno’s third year film at Calarts, but made mostly at Gobelins school in France, where she is studying for the semester. It is the story of an anemic little recluse of a girl who makes a friend at the expense of her ceiling. It is brought it to life with a simple colour scheme and gentle movement.

A black and white forest is coloured in vibrant hues before our eyes, except for one sad little panda, which stirs compassion in an imaginative little boy. It is simple, bold and emotional.

The Pig Farmer by Nick Cross (2011)

A farming pig gets mixed up with a group of fox hippies. They introduce him to drugs and this leads to tragedy and regret. Animated using Flash and a Cintiq tablet. Backgrounds done in Photoshop. Composited using After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
