As you know the animation section of Blender was re-written for 2.5 and the official instruction manual has not caught up with this yet.</description>

For me as a beginner it is very helpful as you find a lot of stuff
for animation with previous versions of blender but especially for
animation some of the steps are so hard to transfer to blender 2.6.
